Makers of Hangar One Raspberry Vodka (limited edition, not many bottles left in the Bay area) have opened a tasting room at their Hangar in Alameda.

I haven't been since the main opening, but I visited at a one-off opening they had just before Christmas.

I took some photos which can be found in the link below.
Also on the linked post you'll find further links to their website and opening times.

It's great to pop over there and see the beautiful, shiny Distillery - it looks like a rgand musical instrument and there are great views back to SF too.

The adjacent store is one of the few places in town where they still have Raspberry Vodka availability. While stocks last. Unti they make the next batch in the Summer.

Bear in mind this local company has only 4 employees - and their output is amazing, and totally unique, vodka of unprecedented quality.Check it out if you haven't already.

This is a new location? They had a tasting room for years, in the same building as Rosenblum Cellars.

They didn't have a tasting room that was licensed for general, public hours, only for special events. Now it seems they've gone through the hoops to do so.

Yes, this is new and independent of Rosenblum site. I also visited a preview opening prior to Xmas and it was still under construction. It is now a huge hangar that overlooks the bay, and a unique and lovely setting. They also have lovely Eau de Vie and liqueurs (the poire is outstanding).

Re: directions, pass Rosenblum Cellars (do not turn into their drive), pass the Alameda ferry launch nearing the road end, turn left into the last former entry into the naval base. It is then about 2 hangars down on the right, facing the bay. You enter from the bay end of hangar and there is plenty of parking space. The former naval base is quite deserted in that area.

Well, I hesitate to post this because I won't be over that way too soon. However, great writeup on your blog. Those pictures really push the Raspberry vodka over the top. I want it. I want it now.

Maybe if that Alemdea bakery has a decent hot cross bun or some Irish soda bread I can schedule a trip to the tasting room at the same time. Thanks.
