Craving some red meat after all that turkey. Hounds, take pity on those of us out here with some great burger advice. Metrowest and North West burbs prefered, but any tips appreciated! I'll start and offer up the burger at Emerald Rose in Billerica as being pretty decent.

i second the vote for the ashmont grill- an awesome burger all around!! bacon, swiss, cooked rare, this is the best in the city in my opinion. grass fed beef is the key i think. fries are great too, though there could be more of them.

a bacon swiss burger with a makers and coke, what could be better??

I usually head to Horseshoe Pub in Hudson for a burger when I'm in the mood. The rest of their food is lacking, but the burger is always good - and cooked to order. Always a good beer or two on tap also.

Burger at the new Gardner Ale House is really tasty also - and the fries are some of the best you can get in this era of the tasteless battered sysco fry.

The burger at Metropolitan Club in Chestnut Hill is pretty good. Order the truffle parmesean dip for the fries!

The Z burger at TJ's in Ashland. Frozen steak fries come with them. I opt for the O rings.
Nobscots Monday burger night. Good, not great burger with great people watching.

Ashmont Grill - Dorchester (If you consider Dorchester a suburb, which I guess it's not)
