Wild mushroom pizza at Cheese Board

As usual Cheese Board has its once-a-year wild mushroom pizza today. No need to wait in a long line if you want half-baked to finish at home ($18), at the cheese shop you can grab one and pay at the register.
I was a bit unhappy about the inclusion of goat cheese because I thought that it would dominate the pizza, but it turns out that the mushrooms' flavor still stood out. If anything, there was too heavy a hand with black pepper.
Special orders are taken but I didn't have the foresight this time. There was a woman there who picked up three cheese-free half-bakes.
I had pizza for lunch at Arizmendi in Emeryville today, and they had a wild mushroom pizza too. Very mushroomy, yum! It didn't have any goat cheese on it, though.
