Has Anyone Tried the NYT Nutmeg-Maple Cream Pie Recipe?

We're doing Thanksgiving at our house, and this was one of the dessert requests. It seems to be a fairly simple pastry cream with some reduced maple syrup in a butter-based pie crust. How bad could it be?

  1. I saved the recipe, but I won't be making it for Thanksgiving. I have too many traditional recipes that people expect, before I can make something new. Please report back if you make it! :)

        It was GREAT. Not so pretty to look at but people loved it so much they asked for the recipe.
