Pomegranate bistro - Redmond

I live in Redmond and was really excited to see the new Whole foods go in to save a trip to Bellevue. I've noticed a sign for Pomegranate Bistro across the street and have wondered what the thoughts are on the restaurant. It looks kinda out of place. There was an older feed from 2005 and wanted to know what people thought of it now?

I definitely enjoyed the food a lot, but they seem to be almost always busy. Be prepared for a wait, and know that they won't seat you until your entire party is there.

Pomegranate is indeed a bright star in the otherwise chain laden eastside. The smoked salmon benedict for brunch is a winner, served on a chive biscuit instead of an english muffin, with a dollop of REAL hollendaise.

It's run by the Lisa Dupar Catering Company. That's why the funky location--it is attached to their catering kitch. In fact, it's live entertainment watching them put together meals back there (large windows allow you to view from the restaurant).

The food is consistently good, and the menu changes seasonally. I love the rosemary hashbrowns at brunch.

YUM! Reservations allowed for tables of 6 or more only in the evenings.

Some of our favorites on the eastside include Cafe Jaunita, Seastar, Pomogranate, and Tosoni's.

I love Tosoni's. I live real close to it and its a real hole in the wall. I still need to get to Cafe Juanita though.
