Hattiesburg, MS, What's cookin'?

  • 5

Hanging with the faux-in-laws after Christmas. Is there anything chow worthy in Hattiesburg? I know, I know, get in the car and drive to New Orleans. That may or may not happen. Anyway, is there decent fish, bbq, burgers, down-home breakfast?

  1. You *must* go to Leatha's (http://www.leathas.com/) in Hattiesburg. Must.

Leatha's is the greatest barbecue place...ever. Their pork ribs are great, their beef ribs I like even better - their barbecue is wonderful. Leatha's girls will take good care of y'all.

Leatha's is at 6374 US Highway 98 West. Turn at the Ken Pickett's RV lot and go behind it and to the right to find Leatha's.

Trust me on this one. You will not be disappointed!

Leatha now serves amazing pulled pork!

    2. Check out the Purple Parrot..............

      1. I heard from multiple people Leatha died and the food has really gone downhill, but I haven't been myself.

As of last week, Miss Leatha was still alive and well.
