(AUS) Chef's Table

Franktex Nov 20, 2006 08:21 PM

Looking for a rec on a chef's table in Austin for around 12 people(January), with a fixed price in the $60-75, preferably including wine, if there is such a thing.

Maybe check out Castle Hill Cafe? The company I used to work for had a 12-15 person event there with some recruits one time and I think we did something like that. Excellent food, cozy atmosphere.

Yes, I did that at Castle Hill once too. But is it really a chef's table? Wait a minute, what exactly is a chef's table anyway?

i want to say "chef's table" is when you sit in front of the exec. chef himself and he'll cook your entire meal for you. the only places that i can think of where i've even come across this term is driskill grill and hudson's on the bend...both of which are way out of the $60-75 range. sry to be of no help. but i hope you find what you're looking for. i'd definitely do a chef's table for that price :)

I was not aware that Driskil and Hudson's offer this. I'll have to enquire next time I have a lot of money to blow.

My wife arranged a chef's table at Ranch 616 for our dinner club. Everyone had a great time and a good meal. I would recommend it. 616 Nueces St. Austin, TX 78701 Tel: (512) 479-7616

What about Zoot? Seems like I recall them doing something like that once...
