Unpitted prunes

Hi folks. Quick question: Does anyone know where to get unpitted prunes in New York? A friend needs them for a recipe. I seem to recall a couple of different places folks have discussed here in Brooklyn that seem like they might be possibilities but whose names I've forgotten. Anyone seen them in Manhattan?

    They're more like $4.99/lb but they're fantastic.

        Just bought some Prunes d'Agen from Fairway yesterday on the UWS - in bulk - I think they were $1.99 a pound, which seemed very cheap.

          There is a prune clafouti in one of the Patricial Wells books that's wonderful! Esp with Prunes d'Agen....

            That sounds like a great price! They were almost that much near Agen last month! I need to get over to Fairway soon.

            Grace's Marketplace has prunes from Agen (the town in Franch known for prunes)...the best!
