Gypsy Kitchen in Quincy

A recent article in the local paper reminded me of this small store on Hancock Street in Quincy Center. I had gone there in the past for hot sauces but hadn't been in awhile. Well, now they have imported cheeses and wine!!!! I stopped at lunch today and picked up both to have for the Holiday. The owner is extremely helpful and while the store is small, they have a nice assortment. They also have pickled asparagus!! Has anyone tried the cheeses here?

I have tried the cheeses (even though I'm not supposed to eat them), and they are very good quality. The women that work there have good food knowledge. Try their bread which they only have on Thur., Fri. and Sat. They are from the french bakery in Hyannis (that I can't spell), and they're terrific. Their wine price are very competitive. Good selection too.
    Enjoy,

Good to know that the wine prices are competitive. I usually go to Wolly Wine. The wine I purchased at Gypsy today is French and labeled Quincy. I had this wine when I was in Ireland this summer and really enjoyed it, so it was a treat to find it. Can't wait to try the cheeses.
