Need authentic Dallas recs for overseas guests

Will be visiting Dallas with British relatives in December. They've never been to Texas and I would like to take them out for a couple of typical Texan meals (I'm thinking Tex-Mex and barbecue, but am open to other suggestions). We'll be in North Dallas, but are happy to travel around the city. I just want to make sure the places I take them actually have good food. Any ideas?

  1. I think most Europeans, especially Brits, love these over-the-moon steak places. Big steaks, big portions, big drinks, hey that's overindulgence Texas style!! Believe me, they won't be disappointed. Try Nick and Sam's, Pappas Bros, III Forks, Del Frisco, Bob's Steak and Chophouse, or Lawry's.

      1. Dallas steakhouses are great. I would also suggest taking them to the Gaylord for the complete Texan experience. Or try the Blue Goose for Tex Mex, Del Frisco or III Forks for steak, Chamberlans Fish Market or Trulucks for seafood, Dickeys for BBQ or Celebration for Southern comfort food.
