I've had a good bite or two at the Slow Club - anyone been lately?

Had lunch there about 6 months ago. As usual, the place is solid. Have had dinner there at least half dozen times and never fails to be a good choice. Good vibe, food that is well-prepared and meant to be enjoyed rather than worshipped, reasonable prices.

I think they may have gotten a new chef a few months ago.

I had dinner at Slow Club two weeks ago on a Saturday. My dining companion had a pork chop with polenta and some grilled vegetables. It was very good. I ordered the burger and was similarly impressed. We also ordered a hazelnut ice cream chocolate tort dessert. It was extremely rich, but also tasty. The one downside to the experience was the ambiance. The restaurant is seriously dark, and way noisy.

Haven't been for brunch in a while, but we have dinner there or get take out all the time. It's been one of my favorite restaurants for 10 years or so. I love their burgers--they are more fancy pants style, with grilled onions, salad greens and a horseradishy mayo. They are always cooked to the right temp.
The other menu entrees are also very good (their menu is always updated on their website) and the chocolate pot de creme is great!

Slow Club is my favorite brunch spot in SF...early on I get the fried egg sandwich, later in the afternoon I get the burger (my favorite burger in SF)
Even though I've been to the Slow Club at least 10 times for brunch I've yet to have dinner there!
