for Turkey day, I want to make a leek & mushrron stuffing w/ some sausage but some Muslim friends will be over so pork sausage is not an option. i know i can get turkey sausage, but i just bought some lamb sausage meat and thought, hmmmm... lamb sausage in turkey stuffing...
Any opinions on whether this is an inspired notion? or a real stinker.

Thans for any advice.

I think it could be very good. And I might think about making it with a combo of rice and wild rice. It would almost be byrani-like and that is not a bad thing.

Actually, I had thought about a wild-rice stuffing, but this will be a first Thanksgiving for some Iraqi friends, so I'm trying to go a little traditional (rice is a major staple in Iraq but bread stuffing is one of those foods that gets the 'We're going to eat WHAT? Stale, wet pieces of bread with a bunch of other things, all shoved in a giant chicken? And it's GOOD?'
Yes, it's very good. As long as I don't blow it...
