  1. Sabrina's is my favorite for brunch. Their stuffed french toast is worth the hour you'll probably have to wait for a table. Another place that's a little more low key, Fitzwater Cafe on 7th & Fitzwater. I had a lobster and roasted pepper omelette last time I was there that was just great, and the place looks like a little European coffee shop. Their dinner is also execellent.

    1. John's Roast Pork. It's right there(behind Lowe's) and can't be beat. Either steak italian with his homeade tomato gravy or pork italian. Enjoy

      1. The South Philadelphia Taproom. It's on Mifflin Street near 15th. Excellent burger and other sandwiches.

Funny that you should ask that as my husband and I were down at Lowes/Target on Saturday and also looking for a place to eat. John's is only open Monday through Friday, so we ended up at the cafeteria at IKEA and given the fast food options, this was by far a great choice. You get real food, real plates, and its very affordable. I had the smoked gravlax platter which is served with a bit of mixed greens and a delicious mustard dill sauce ($6) and a side of mashed potatoes ($1.50) that actually were awesome. Lumpy and homemade out of red new potatoes. My husband had the salmon filet served with mixed veggies and roasted new potatoes ($6). I really think that this is one of the best places in the area to lunch when you're shopping. Their shrimp salad sandwich is also yummy. For "fast-food" IKEA is a great option because it is almost all homemade and the food is cheap and healthier than McDonalds, Wendy's, etc.

        2. We ended up going to Villa de Roma for some past when they opened at 2:00. Pretty yummy, casual and fast.
