LA hound coming to D.C. - need help deciding among choices for Sat. and Sun
I have not really eaten out in D.C. since my husband (then boyfriend), who lived in Arlington when I met him, moved to L.A. with me in 2001. I have noticed quite a bit has changed--for the better! We are really excited to eat there next month, when we will be in town for an event. We have Sat. and Sun. nights free. I have done lots of online research, and narrowed the field to the following:
For Saturday --Komi, Cityzen, Restaurant Eve or Palena
For Sunday - there are just so few options! I narrowed it down to Tabard Inn, Blue Duck Tavern, Jaleo or Cafe Atlantico
On Saturday, we would like to try somewhere we have never been. I am leaning toward Komi. Cityzen sounds amazing but I wanted something a little less formal/slick, and something in a neighborhood usually gives you a better feel for the city IMO. Restaurant Eve-Tasting Room sounds great too, just not sure if it is worth leaving D.C. for given the options in D.C. Which restaurant would you choose given we can only hit one?
On Sunday, I am leaning toward Blue Duck Tavern, just based on the menu and a few things I read. We went to Jaleo and Cafe Atlantico when we were dating (in 2001)--not sure if either is worth another visit over Blue Duck. As for Tabard Inn, neither of us has ever been so I included that too.
I would to get your thoughts - there's nothing like 'hound advice. :) Thanks in advance.

re: Lowbar
Ok, so turns out my husband is going to Cityzen for a business dinner the night before I arrive (I am very jealous). Given that, do you think Komi or Restaurant Eve for Saturday?
Given Lowbar's recommendation, I am happy to eliminate Cafe Atlantico and Jaleo - but has anyone been to Blue Duck who can comment on how it compares to Tabard Inn?
Thanks again.
