I'm doing my sister a favor and chaperoning my Niece and two of her friends to go to the Jingle Ball Concert at MSG on 12/15. I'll also be taking them to an early meal beforehand that is relatively inexpensive and something that 3 teenagers would like.( doors open at 6pm) Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Three adventerous palates,( two of the girls and me) one not so much.
They eat Pizza quite a bit, so places like John's are out.
Thanks in advance for all of your help!

I was going to make the same suggestion. It would be a fun place for them and a little different experience. Decent food also.

La Bonne Soupe on West 55th Street is fun for teens and pretty inexpensive.

I just thought another place that teens might like: Burgers & Cupcakes on 9th in the mid-30s (forget the xstreet).

I disagree that the food is okay at either J&H or Mars 2112. Ick.

BBQ might work well, and it doesn't break the bank. There are a few places only one subway stop away -- RUB on 23rd St. between 7th & 8th, and Virgils in Times Square. Blue Smoke isn't far either (27th & Park), but if you're taking public trans it's not quite as convenient. There may be others that are close, but they're not coming to mind. I do not recommend Dalls BBQ.

You might want to look into Jekyll and Hyde Club. Food is okay, but the teens will love the atmosphere.

I think that the "experience" portion of the night is going to be the concert itself, and I know that my niece and her "crew" have been to both places. So, just a restaurant with good food is in order:)
