i ate at the Weho one once, and it got a "meh". for a place that prides itself on its burgers, it was just okay. i think there must be a lesson here about chains and good, fat burgers.

I don't remember much about the burger that I ordered, but I do remember being disgusted by my strawberry milkshake. It had the color and consistency of pepto bismol, but with a watered down, fake strawberry taste.

i have never been impressed with hamburger mary's food - not worth a trip at all, even if u have to, in my opinion.

There used to be one in Long Beach, it had a MEAN Cobb Salad... :)

The Newport Beach location is in the building previously occupied by Trophy's sports bar/grille.

Their website indicates it is at 4221 Dolphin Striker Way, just behind MacArthur.

Here is a link to the main website which shows menu, locations, etc. with only one of several pages devoted to burgers.
The Hillcrest location is no longer an affiliate, btw. www.hamburgermarys.net/

Hmmm. I seem to remember decent California-diner style food. Although the location I used to frequent (Hillcrest in San Diego) was pretty much gay-drag all the time, with the most wonderfull benefit ever...for a girl...For the first time I walked by an out-the-door line for the men's restroom and waltzed right into the ladies with no waiting. I think I even gave a taunting wave to the lined up men. For some reason it made me soooo happy!

I've been to a few Hamburger Mary's in Calif and one in Vegas. Great burgers. Don't remember the bars ever being anything fancy or crowded. And, if I remember correctly Saturdays nights are the drag queen shows.
