Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in Manhattan

Restaurants with Fireplaces

I'm searching for restaurants with great food and a fireplace. Anywhere in Manhattan would be helpful. As for food types, anything except Italian.

Thank you in advance.

    1. Per Se, but good luck even getting close to the fireplace.

        1. Savoy

            1. Moran's

                1. If you are looking for a more hip and casual scene, the lounge downstairs at the Coffee Shop has a fireplace as well and they serve Brazilian food (same menu as the Coffee Shop).

                    1. Ye Waverly Inn has a fireplace in the back room. Given that they are in 'soft opening' mood, there are a lot of kinks to be worked out. The food is comfort food a little dressed up, and it's good, but not fabulous.

                        1. According to Zagat, sans Italian: Ada, Bayard's, Chelsea Bistro, Cornelia St. Cafe, Keens Steakhouse, Loulou, One if by Land, Patois,Place, Ren Pujol, Savoy, Water's Edge, Ye Waverly Inn

                            1. Friend of a Farmer on Irving Place.

                                1. Molly's, the convivial Irish pub, on 3rd Av., b/t 22nd & 23rd Sts. Best known for terrific burgers. Skip the mediocre fries in favor of the excellent onion rings.

Re: Rene Pujol. There are two dining rooms, and I can't recall if there is a fireplace in the front room. From personal experience of having been seated in the back room a number of times, I know that the fireplace there is never used and has a table blocking it.
