Dining at Hatfield's, tell me it's not a mistake

Based on posts, I've narrowed down my one evening meal while in town to Hatfield's (also have a late night res at Mozza the next day). Tell me I'm doing the right thing. Friends suggested Table 8 but a branch is opening here in Miami next month so I'd rather try something I can only get in L.A. I'm a seafood fanatic but my girlfriend leans more towards steak (we have to constantly switch plates at restaurants after being served as waiters always make the guy = red meat and girl = dainty fish assumption).

We loved Hatfields-much better than Table 8.

      Another vote for Hatfields.

        Hatfields over Providence.

i've eaten at both, and if you are a seafood fanatic, you should definitely consider providence.

You absolutely cannot go wrong with Hatfields, IMO, but as Scotty mentioned, if you have only ONE meal while in LA, Providence is not to be missed. I strongly suggest the tasting menu, which is a true gem.

Well, you opened up the floodgates with "one evening meal" and "seafood fanatic," so let me be the first to suggest Providence. It's all about seafood, but they have a steak on the menu.
