Chu Kong Seafood in Millbrae?

Any updates on Chu Kong in Millbrae? Drove by last night with my parents when we needed to get off the freeway's rush hour traffic congestion but found it closed. I had talked them into the fish jook, so that was disappointing. What's good here?

We drove by last week and noticed it was something else now, but both husband and I forgot what it became (I'm sure another restaurant), but have no idea what type. About 10-15 years ago, we used to go there more often, and then we stopped.

That's interesting. It was still in operation when I drove by 2 months ago, and calling the phone number, the after hours outgoing message still identifies it as Chu Kong.

Perhaps you looked at the wrong address. Chu Kong is very much alive, had a very good lunch there yesterday.

What was good there? Or more specifically, how is their jooks? I'm on a semi-liquid diet while recovering from wisdom teeth extraction this week.

Welcome to adulthood, Eugene! Here's my post.

The fish jook is wonderful, but it's made with a whole, live tilapia so it's a big portion. It goes on my list of craved things.
