Pre theater bite around the Warfield?

Any recos on where to get quick small plates or appetizers and a glass of wine before a show at the Warfield (Market Street/Union Square area)? Most that come to my mind either take too long, or are touristy. I'm thinking a place with a good bar for noshing would be ideal. Thanks hounds.

  1. Bar Crudo - might be a bit of a hike but good wines and small plates of crudo and seafood.
    Le Colonial
Scala's Bistro - an old favorite

    Brick
    Olive Bar
    Farmer Brown

    1. Hidden Vine.

      1. I second Hidden Vine. I ate at Farmer Brown a few weeks ago and it was one of the worst meals I've had in a long time.

        1. Farmer Brown can be a great stop before Warfield shows. It's right around the corner and the bar is great. The good can be really good, but they're a bit uneven. I've been 3 times recently and the first two visits were excellent. Last night I stopped in before a show and it was really disappointing. That being said, if you're going primarily for cocktails it may be worth taking a chance.
