Is it traitorous to suggest Marie Callendars?

don't go to daily grill! on principle. if you still can, call clementine or, as previously mentioned, go to nook. the crust at nook is not quite as good as at clementine.

Ivy in Santa Monica. Although I haven't bought one recently, I remember it being really good. It reckon it's like $40 for the pie, though.

Thanks...think we are going with Daily Grill...though I can't attest one way or the other about its quality.

Did you call CPKin Santa Monica? Theirs is good. I didn't think the Trader Joe's frozen one was very good.

                Cafe Monica?

How about the lemon tart from CapriceFrenchpastries.com ?

Thanks for the good ideas...but unfortunately Marmalade claims not to have one...Nook only has 3 slices left...& Houston's won't sell a whole pie.

I'm down to Babalu who will only sell it out by the slice ($65) or Border Grill's key lime cheesecake...

                  Still searching for ideas though..

Interesting about Marmalade. I've had it a couple of times at their Malibu location.

I had it @ the Calabasas Location. I think each restaurant, varies in menu items

If you are looking for just a slice, Nook (Santa Monica near Barrington) is offering a good one on its dessert menu now.

Not sure if they sell the entire pie, but Houston's has the BEST key lime pie.

Marmalade Cafe has a good key lime pie. Isn't there one on Montana?

I would agree, I've had it, it's great!

Try Trader Joe's -- in the frozen section. There is key lime pie and key lime cheesecake, so make sure you get the right one!

CPK also carries key lime pie.

I just returned from FL, where key lime pie abounds. So I know the feeling of not having the real thing here!

CPK's would be a reliable option, I would think. It's not too sweet, and not too tart. Not sure about the poster's boss' taste preference.
