Baked BBQ Pork Buns in SF Chinatown?

Yimster's post about the San Bruno restaurant with good baked BBQ pork buns reminded me I would love to find good baked buns in SF's Chinatown. Does anyone know of a place? Thanks!

I think anything at Golden Gate should be good. Do not remember them since I now I mostly buy egg tarts there. My cousin swears by the ones from Easten Bakery on Grant, she has them a family parties but I normally eat the other goodies (too much great food to fill up on a Pork Bun). Chinatown has better steamed buns.

    Other places are

    Napolean
    Gorumet Delight
    New Wing Sing

They all have baked buns and I have had all of them in the past but I normally buy baked bun in the out of Chinatown.

Thank you so much! I will scoot over there this week and rustle some up! Mmmmmm - maybe later today!

Golden Gate Bakery's pork bun are my favorite. There is the perfect ration of pork to bun, the bun has a nice touch of sweetness and the pork is good in a sauce that has a little edge almost like there is a touch of alcohol in there.

Golden Gates are my favorite as well also their custard and coconut tarts, and macaroons!

I like Cafe Bakery's best on Noriega in the Sunset (usually sold out in early afternoon) followed by YOU'S Bakery on Broadway below Stockton in Chinatown.

YOU's is the place. We live in the area. The best filling, and reasonable priced too.
