Quebec City during carnival
We are meeting some friends in Quebec City during carnival and would like to plan ahead for at least one nice meal. They are coming from Vancouver, us from Toronto, so I was hoping for something Quebecois and/or french. Anything like Au Pied du Cochon there? After looking through this board I was thinking of Le Cafe du Cloche Peneche, Toast! and L'Utopie. On our last visit we ate at Laurie Raphael and unfortunately were disappointed with the food compared to tasting menus we've had elsewhere. Is it worth giving another try? I imagine it is a busy time during carnival, are there any restaurants that would be away from the crowds? Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Hello h2o,
I think there is nothing like Au Pied de Cochon in Quebec city.
But Café du Clocher Penché, Toast! and l'Utopie are very good resto. You can also try Panache and La Noce. For Laurie Raphaël I think it worth another try.
Bienvenue à Québec!
