Haven't been in the area since the place on Amsterdam one or two blocks north of Lincoln Center shut down (I believe it had a name like Yin Yueng). Am now looking for a kindred replacement for this Saturday. What do you recommend?

I would go to Shun Lee Cafe. It would fall in the "moderate" catagory. Right next to Shun Lee. Forget which street its on 65th maybe?

Frankly, based on my last visit (and I mean last in both senses), I'd sooner go to Ollie's on Broadway and 68th for a big soup or an order of pan fried noodles than Shun Lee.

i think the dim sum at Shun Lee Cafe is awesome. more expensive than C-Town...but hey it's not C-town. The regular food is good but not great.

Another possibility: the recently remodelled China Fun,
          246 Columbus Ave. between 72nd and 73rd.
