California Grill

Anyone been to the Grill since the Chef change? Thinking about going there this weekend but was not sure if all of the kinks have been worked out? Any info would be much appreciated!

    I'm not sure when the chef change took place. I ate there last april and had a great meal.

      It's been about 2-2 1/2 months ago. Jens Dahlmann came over from Flying Fish when John State went to Minneapolis to be exec at the new Marriott Amway/Devos family is opening.

      They tell me the menu hasn't changed much, but Jens' food is much different than John's, so I'm not sure I'm buying it. The menu item may have the same name, but he's doing a totally different dish, I believe.

      Not good or bad, just different.

      I have not. I have eaten his food at Flying Fish, but not seen what he's done to CG menu yet.

      Word is that he's fitting in with the staff and they like him.
