Good Restaurant with a Christmas and holiday feel for our NYC visit

noula Nov 14, 2006 10:10 PM

My family (6) is coming in for our annual Christmas in NYC on 12/3/06 and we need a good restaurant that will help us celebrate the holiday and provide a Christmas feel. We have done the Tavern on the Green and tried to get in the Boathouse however it is closed for dinner at that time of year. Any suggestions?

Sea Grill and Rock Center Cafe are located on either side of the Rockefeller Center Skating Rink, which is also where the famous Christmas Tree stands. Lots of decorations all around, so either would provide you with that holiday feeling.

You might try SeaGrill which overlooks the ice rink. During the holidays there is a preset menu which is heavy on fish. It is not the best food for the price in the city, but for an xmas feel this is definitely prime.

A recent experience suggests Rock Center Cafe may also provide you with poor food and lazy service. But then Sea Grill is more expensive.

Hey, dkstar1, We've always avoided Rolf's because I've heard the food's really mediocre. Have you ever tried it?
