      1. I highly recommend the tasting menu, which for us has proved less expensive than ordering a la carte particularly because of wine cost--the wine list is pretty pricey, yet the wine pairings with the tasting menu are a great value ($30/person). The one or two times we did not do the tasting menu, we regretted it. Enjoy! (and post a report if you don't mind :)

          I second the tasting menu. Best way to go..yummy and filling, and it gives you the chance to sample a lot of dishes.

              Third the recommendation for the tasting menu with wine pairings. My visit to Providence earlier this year was probably my most memorable meal of 2006.

                The website lists a 5-course tasting and a "full" tasting. I have heard reports on a 14+ course tasting, would that be the chef's? I am going soon and would like the full experience.

              2. Save room for desert. And as for desert, the weirder it sounds, the better it likely will be.
