3 days in Kirkland (expense a/c) 3 day SEA (cheap)

Philadelphia Hound who has never been to Seattle before. Have relied on the L.A. and San Fran boards before, and gotten great suggestions.

Looking for reccs in or around Kirkland, where I'll be working for 3 days, and able to expense dinner. Saw reccs for Restauant Paradiso and Cafe Juanita.

Also looking for cheap finds in Seattle and Bainbridge Island for lunch or dinner for the portion of the trip where I'm on my own.

Favorites are sushi, cooked seafood and italian.

Thanks!

If you are in Kirkland, Kikuya in Redmond is a great place for fresh sushi. I like to go there for lunch - they have a bento box with a daily special, tempura udon, salad and sashimi. But if you have no budget, sushi is the way to go there.

For a sushi place in Seattle, I like Nishino. Very fresh, interesting flavors - great on the expense acct ;)

I would suggest Cafe Lago for Italian. It's reasonable, and they have great handmade pasta. You need to go early though because they always run out of pasta (which actually annoys me a LOT).

Cafe Juanita is a good choice for italian. Kirkland is not that far from Seattle (30 minute drive at the right time of day). I would try to have one of your expense account dinners for sushi at Saito in Seattle.

agree with Cafe Juanita. If you can expense a dinner at Herbfarm in Woodinville (Thurs-Sun only), do it!
