Breakfast in Monkland Area

Any ideas for breakfast in the Monkland Area?

I know about St Viateur Bagels but what about Benedict's or B & M on Monkland?

For something a bit different, Mesquite at 3857 Decarie corner NDG offers up your standard breakfast fare but also has dishes with a southwestern or cajun influence (andouille sausauge, brisket'n'eggs) & was surprisingly enjoyable. B&M is just ok & their bacon always tastes like it was made yesterday. If you're into portion size, head to B&M but don't pass up on Mesquite.

I heard that Mesquite has recently renovated. What kind of renovations have they done? They have only been opened for about 2 years.

B & M is now at Somerled and Grand. Their breakfast is OK, and huge. Benedicts gives you less for your money, but the food is half-decent. Prepare to line up on weekends, though.

There's also cosmos on Sherbrooke, for the greasiest of home fries and monumental portions of meat.

Benedicts is now at the former B & M location on Monkland.
