Baklava with a Twist
i have been looking for a good recipe for baklava, and maybe some ideas to spice it up a bit, put a twist on it, any ideas?
I made one this fall and call it Southern Baklava. I used freshly toasted pecans and almonds for the nuts and the most important thing was for the honey syrup I used Sourwood Honey from North Carolina. You can buy it on line if it is not available in your market. It converted a baklava hater to a liker and another friend left me a voice mail ssaying it was the best thing she had ever eaten.
