Sushi Making Class/Healthy Cooking Class

Does anyone know of any good sushi making classes or healthy cooking classes in the New York City area? Thanks!

    1. The culinary part of the New School has this course, which I think they're trying to do twice a year. Its by the lady who wrote "Sushi for Dummies":

      Master Class in Sushi NCLS0138
      A 5 sessions. Mon. thru. Fri., 2:00-5:00 p.m., Oct. 23-27. $510; materials fee $130 payable at registration.

      Limited to 12. For food professionals and serious amateurs who wish to learn authentic techniques for making restaurant-quality sushi (and sashimi). Full hands-on participation is emphasized as students move from making basic types of sushi to creating myriad and miraculous interpretations, traditional and new. Topics include:

      making perfect sushi rice
      selecting and using appropriate kitchen tools and equipment, especially knives
      handling and preparation of the condiments and ingredients used in sushi making
      professional cutting techniques for a wide variety of fish, vegetables, and garnishes
      techniques for making pressed, scattered, rolled, pillowed, and hand-roll sushi

      1. There's the Natural Gourmet Institute. They don't have a traditional sushi making class (though they have a vegetarian one), they offer a bunch of healthy cooking classes.
