Is there anything good and non-chain in Fargo?

katebauer Nov 13, 2006 10:22 PM

We're headed to Fargo for Thanksgiving and decided to stay an extra night at the B&B we found. Can anyone recommend a good, non chain restaurant up there for dinner on Friday? I did a search and the majority of the Fargo-based threads have no responses! We'd be happy to drive 30 minutes or so if the place is worth it.

Check out HoDo, the restaurant in the Hotel Donaldson. They use a lot of local ingredients to make regianla twists on standard restaurant fare, such as walleye cakes instead of crab cakes and a vegetarian "burger" made of local wild rice.
