cacio e peppe takeout

Wow! I had always meant to get to this place but never made it. Mrs. GG is under the weather and can't cook her own pasta so she sent me ISO last night in the rain. She actually admitted that cacio's fettucine al limone was as good as her own. My spaghetti with guanciale, fennel and black truffles was unbelievably good. I was sopping up the truffle infused remains with the crusty bread they gave us. One of the best take-out meals in a long time. Will have to get to the restaurant soon.

  1. I think you're talking about the bucatini alla amatriciana - MAN, that is good. I can't stop ordering it even though I'm also curious about the gnocchi with boar ragu.

    1. GG, the last few times I was at Cacio, the food was very salty. I have not been there in the last 6 months but need to return for some of their signature dish along with the wondeful smoked mozzarella and prosciutto appetizer. Did you have any issues with the saltiness in any of your meals? Maybe it has improved.
