Hi, my husband and I are driving from L.A. to Paso Robles and then Murphys over Thanksgiving weekend (Wed. in Paso Robles, Thurs-Sat nights in Murphys). I have never been to either place so I would love some suggestions for dinner. Also, if there are any places to get a great espresso/cappuccino, that would be great to know as well.

I have heard Taste in Plymouth is very good, but yahoo maps says it's over an hour from Murphys. If that is true, is it worth the long drive?

Thanks in advance.

try lunch in Gustine if that's on your route. Just off 5 a few miles north of Santa Nella. Great sausage and other meat sandos. Wolfsen's Meat Locker.

In August 2005, I ate at V Restaurant & Bar in Murphys and it was the best meal in town by far. It was a creative menu and very good service. The only thing I really remember eating was lamb with lavender salt, but it all was good!
