Anyone ever eaten at Joy Mart in Little Tokyo?
I'm trying to find a restaurant to bring a tour group (around 10 people) to for lunch afterwards in Little Tokyo and in reading through some of the posts and doing some online searches, Joy Mart seems like it would be a choice because it offers a varied menu.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
Abby

Yes, I've been there a few times. One of my favorite hang out joints at Lil Tokyo. I like going there cause they sell beer by the pitcher--reasonably priced, good appetizer, good japanese fusion food and korean esque dishes. My favorite dish there is the tobanyaki...it's baked green tea soba noodles and it's served with beef on top, soba sauce.
The prices there aren't pricy in my opinion...it's like curry house prices.

I've been to Joy Mart for both lunch and dinner and I'd say their lunch specials are a great deal. Not only pretty reasonably priced but the food tastes good and they offer pretty filling portions. Their dinner menu is a little hit and miss and a bit on the pricy side in my opinion.
Though they have a lot of different Asian dishes, not just Japanese food (e.g. Thai, Korean, Chinese influences), I'd stick to the traditional Japanese choices like the sushi, rice bowls, teriyaki dishes.
