Thanksgiving Dinner in Shanghai???

Gary Soup Nov 11, 2006 04:49 PM

Eating traditional American food is not something I go Shanghai for, but I'll be in town on Thanksgiving and I thought it might be a hoot and educational to treat my wife's niece and nephew and their SO's (they are both in their early twenties) to a traditional American Thanksgiving dinner.

Does anybody know of a (probably hotel) venue that will be providing such a meal? Traditional focus is really more important than quality, and price is a consideration because I'd be paying 5X for meals that might only bemuse, not thrill.

Most of the 5 star hotels have dinner, so just call & ask - prices will be 200-400RMB/person.

On the other hand, if you are interested in really having a sit-down Thanksgiving dinner, San Francisco Steak House is offering complete take home dinners for 688RMB. The deadline to order a bird was last Wednesday, but you might want to call them and see if they can squeeze in an extra order.
