If you get the opportunity to ask someone in-the-know, try and find out (or confirm), "Why they're closing?", and report back.

Someone on another thread said it's because the owner sold the building. (Implying that the new owner wants to up their rent, or has something else in mind for their square footage?)

The original developer (a partner in the deal) sold the property. So Norman's goes along with the developer. They're still cookin' in FLA! Come on down!

i go to the gym right across from norman's and really regretting never going there. anyway, according to the shop owners in the complex the space was sold and is being converted to an H&M by next year.

Does anyone know where Peter the sommelier is going? I thought he was great! It would be a shame if Los Angeles lost him.

We spoke to him last night and he said that he was in need of a long leisurely vacation! He is considering taking up a position at Norman's latest outpost in Key West, but also said that he might remain in LA if a great opportunity presented itself. I guess where he chooses to go remains to be seen.

this is their last weekend so if you want to try it, go this weekend! We went las Friday and had our last Pig Roast. It was great as always! Too bad the place is closing :-(

I went last night for the last pig roast. It was absolutely phenomenal, and I will mourn the loss of this great establishment for months/years to come.
