It attrracts an interesting crowd if you like people watching. Gets more intersting later at night. Not much going on if you're there at 7. IMHO the food is overrated. I've been there a couple of times and don't plan to go back. Its pretty standard Latin Influenced fare at a premium. No meal sticks in my mind as great or horrible. My meal there was completely unmemorable, so I wouldn't return for the food. However, the atmosphere is fun, and the people-watching is great because they pull the tables off the floor for salsa dancing. I agree that the food isn't anything wow, but it's pretty solid, and it's a neat place to eat, in terms of atmosphere. It's not somewhere I'd make a special point of eating at, but if I was taking out a friend who liked dancing and Latin food, I'd consider this. The bad; the food here is good, not great. I enjoyed several of the dishes, my chicken mole lacked mole, but the other dishes I sampled tasted fine. Overall I thought it to be a bit pricey for what I got. The ugly: The service is abysmal. On my recent visit, I had a waitress who made several order mistakes including two on my wine order alone. She was infrequently seen, did not even accompany our food when it was brought out to ensure it went to the right person so every one was forced to guess what plate was theirs aka TGI Friday style. Then once she finished her shift, we couldn't even get a glass of water brought out to our table! The sort of stupid stuff that ultimately results in less revenue for the restaurant. Then finally when a busboy was kind enough to bring us a out pitcher of water for the 6 of us sitting at a table, another staffer came by and swiped the pitcher away, stating that we weren’t allowed to keep a pitcher on our table as it might create a problem with the other patrons wanting one as well! And this was after we had already paid a dinner tab that exceeded $400 IMO: Some of the most unbelievably bad service this chowhound has ever experienced, and I almost never make service a huge issue when it comes to restaurants, as I usually believe this might be one or two bad apples, but this was at all levels of my experience.
