ISO Michoacan places in Oakland

I've read previous posts on this subject explaining that many immigrants in Oakland are from Michoacan, but none of them specify which restaurants are worth checking out - other than a place to buy tamales at the elusive La Michoacan in a home somwhere on 7th St..

Can anyone help me with suggestions.

I don't think there are any places in Oakland that specifically say they serve Michoacan food. They're from Michoacan and they serve food.

The "elusive" tamale place is actually not on 7th -- it's around the corner on ... Washington, I think. Whatever street intersects 7th half a block west of La Borinquena. It's a small Victorian row house with a sign on the garage door proclaming the tamales.
