ISO ethnic dinner between Castro Theatre & Oakland (along Muni/BART route)

Hi folks, I'm looking for a dinner spot for Sat night (after a show that ends around 7:30pm) ... was thinking Tangerine, but I've been there a few times and I really want to try something else. Trying to keep the price range @ $20/entree max. Please no American, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, or Moroccan recs (already have those covered). Maybe a great Mexican or Spanish place? As last resort since I've never tried Andrew Jaegers, was thinking of heading there -- but that's a lil off my route.

And if there's a spot along my route that has never been reviewed (or its been a looong time since the last one) please do include that in your suggestion! I plan to post the results.

Thanks all!

Doing a search on this board, it seems there are mixed reviews of Truly Mediterranean... I'm thinking maybe Ramblas ... and I also came across some old posts on Charanga. Any recent opinions on Charanga? If not, then maybe that's where I'll head.

If there's better schwaerma than Truly Mediterranean's around, somebody's been holding out.

There are lots of taquerias near 16th St. BART. Also Truly Mediterranean, which is a sort of Middle Eastern answer to a burrito join. Ramblas for tapas.
