Chowing in Banff?!

Hello. My sister and her boyfriend will be in Banff next Mon-Fri. Grateful for any suggestions, nothing very $$ they are students, but some fun places for 20 somethings.

    If you're up for the drive I would head west on the No. 1 to Field (just past Lake Louise) and eat lunch at the Truffle Pig. Between the scenic drive and the great food you'll find it's well worth it.

      Speaking of Fuze, I just got their email newsletter. Starting on Wednesday they are having a local's special (through to Dec. 15) that is open to everyone. An Aromas of India 3 course menu for 45 bucks. While their menu is very international note that their chef is east indian. Could be very nice.

      If they want cheaper bar like food, Tommy's rocks.

        One of my favorite places to eat in Banff (as well as being a local favorite) is the Magpie and Stump. It's a Tex-Mex type of restaurant which serves some pretty good food.

        The Grizzly house is a favorite of mine but kind of pricey.

          Hi Trinyc,
          As Banff is a tourist town the food scene can be rather expensive. Having said that, there are a number of pubs (Rose and Crown; St. James Gate) in town where the food is not bad. Another place that is pretty good is Earls. Also, if your sister and BF can afford a splurge night they should give Fuze a try.
