Lunch in Brooklyn Height -- suggestions please.

Hi, I am planning on having lunch tomorrow with a friend in Brooklyn Height. I am looking for suggestions. We will be near Montague Street. My friend is a bit of a food snob so I am hoping to wow him with something good for lunch. Thanks in advance.

My choice would be Queen, about two or three blocks from Montague along Court Street. Its plain looks belie the terrific food they serve. And get the fresh mozzarella for a real treat. That dish alone should wow your friend.

Noodle Pudding is the best restaurant in Brooklyn Heights but it isn't open for lunch. Your best bet on Montague St. would probably be Heights Cafe, although I don't think it would wow anyone. If you want to travel further, Five Front in DUMBO is good (not sure if they're open for lunch).

Five Front is not open for lunch, unfortunately.

If you have to stick to the Montague Street area, I guess Queen and Heights Cafe are your best bets. (My Manhattan food-snob friend actually loved Heights Cafe -- I was pleasantly surprised.) Do you want to consider other nearby areas, like Smith Street or Atlantic Ave.?

My favorite restaurant in Brooklyn Heights is Noodle Pudding, hands down.
