Last week I stopped in to Sammy T's in Fredericksburg (I think that's the place, right next to the used bookstore downtown) for lunch. Had the stuffed baked potato and soup. Completely hit the spot. The soup was a roasted tomato, potato was stuffed with cheese, mushrooms, walnuts, tomato, and I think sour cream. Only off item was the tomato, it was pretty flavorless, but I suppose that's what you get so late in the season. The menu was pretty diverse, and really heavy on vegetarian selections. I was served by Sammy himself; seems to be a pretty hands-on owner. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. I decided to go there after asking the clerk at the used bookstore; he gave three or four other suggestions, but specifically mentioned the vegetarian variety at Sammy T's, which I appreciate even though I'm not a veg myself. If you want coffee after lunch, I really recommend Hyperion. Great latte!

I also like Sammy T's...a lot of veggie fare as well as burgers and meat stuff.

There is also Cuzco Chicken Run which is a Peruvian charcoal grilled chicken place in the heart of a 1000 chains at Central Park...great chicken and housemade corn nuts. Also Burger & Kabob is off Silver Pkwy too and it has Pakistani food...everything is fresh so sometimes they are slow

Oh and for another simple name Soup & Taco in Olde Towne, also yummy but the tables are only 2 tops so might be awkward for a larger group
