White clam pizza?

Besides Lombardi's, where can I find a pretty decent white clam pie?

I'm sorry guys, New Haven is all well and good and everything. I really believe you that it's the best clam pizza ever, and I hope I'll find myself there one day. But that hardly answers the OP's (me) question who posted on the Manhattan board.

Okay, Otto constituents -- you have convinced me. We've got reservations for Saturday night after a movie. We will discuss our cinematic experience (Borat) as we chow down white clam pizza. I'm giddy with anticipation! Panoz -- I'll report back.

Otto has a great vongole pizza.

I second Otto's white clam pizza along with the pizza with the fried egg on top.

New Haven. Pepe's. Sorry, but it's the original and the best.

I second it all the way. Pepe's is by far the best pizza period.

I am glad to find a fellow follower of the new haven school. I grew up eating it, and it will always stand as the pinnacle by which other pizza is measured. And not just for sentimantal reasons. Plus, who could resist birch beer?

Try the "RoadHouse" in Staten Island, after the toll, get off at Clove Road Exit, go up the steep hill and bear right onto Clove Road. Roadhouse is maybe 2 blocks in on your left. Pretty good White Clam pie...comes in bar size as well.

It's the one good thing Don Giovanni's does. We wrote about it last year & still order it from time to time.

Oooh good question! I'll be interetsed in the answers. I thought I'd peruse the boards one last time before turning in -- and now I will go to sleep with visions of white clam pies dancing in my head....

I'd like to know too, so I don't have to hike it up to New Haven every time to Pepe's.
