Drinks before dinner at Front Porch?

Five of us are having dinner at Front Porch on Saturday...I understand the 'Porch is beer and wine only, so any suggestions for a cocktail in the neighborhood before we dine?

the knockout could work. the argus (with the peacock feather signage). i would recommend el rio, but on a saturday they will have bands or an event with cover charge. too bad, because they have that wonderful patio. on the north side of cesar chavez, there is the attic, mission bar, phone booth...but these could be pretty hectic on a saturday.
