Lunch between Pasadena & Huntington Beach?

Any ideas? I'm meeting a friend next Tuesday, and have no idea what might be sort of halfway!

If you elect to meet up in Cerritos, I suggest The Loft, near the Del Amo exit from 605 fwy. It's in the Ralphs shopping center, at the corner of Del Amo and Pioneer. Hawaiian style food, and I haven't been able to find anything even nearly as good since moving to a different part of town. A great restaurant that I truly miss.

I seriously recommend either Pasadena or H.B. as opposed to meeting halfway (both areas have some pretty great grubs.)

But if you must, interesting places to check out include Tony's Pizzeria in Placentia (hounds here seem to rave over their deep-dish pizzas) or TAPS in Brea for seafood (both a bit further for you than for your friend.) Alternatively, Peach Cafe in Monrovia (near 605 & 210) may fit the bill for very casual lunch (further for your friend than you.)

Neither Placentia nor Brea are in between Pasadena and HB. You might consider meeting in LIttle India, just east of the 605 in Artesia, for lunch at the India restaurant, Ambhala Dhaba, or one of the dosa shops along/off of Pioneer. If you're taking the the 405-110 route to Pasadena, I can't think of anyplace along the way.

Yea, depends on the route, I thought Brea & Placentia could be along the way if doing the 57-55 fwys (which is about the same stretch distance-wise as 110-405).

Not EXACTLY halfway, but easy to get to from the 605 us Cafe Hiro! It's great! :)

I second the recommendation for Cafe Hiro in Cypress.

Also lots of dim sum options in the San Gabriel Valley.

What route are you taking to get between Pasadena and HB?

Thanks for all the suggestions. After looking at the route, we decided to meet in Santa Monica! Guess we aren't feeling adventurous. But good to know for next time.

            Thanks again!
