Beefmaster in Wilson NC

Hi -- Just wondering if Beefmaster is still as good as it used to be. It was on 301 S. of Wilson NC. Small cinderblock building. Only serves rib eye -- guy comes to table with slab & asks how many inches of steak you want. Baked potato & small salad bar. Very cool place back in the 80's w/ excellent steaks.

It has never, in the 40 years I've known about it, been a cinder block building. It is brick. It remains the best place to eat ribeye in this country. Service and atmosphere is perfect! It's worth a drive i you're in the eastern NC area.

Still excellent!!!

New owner since you were there however it is packed most every night. People start to arrive before it opens just to get a table.
