Miracle Mile person doing an art crawl in Echo Park/LA on Saturday evening and would like to have dinner in the Silver Lake area. Looking for mid-price range, stylish decor, great food. Italian, Mexican, Thai, Japanese, Cal Cuisine all a possibility. Any suggestions welcome.

      Here are a few suggestions:
Gingergrass (Vietnamese) is delicious and reasonable with minimalist decor. It can get crowded, though - and I think it's open late.
Dusty's on Sunset is french influenced, has a good wine list and is much "warmer". Wonderful sweet and savory crepes; and the french fries with cheese curd and gravy ain't too shabby either.
Edendale Grill is a fun place for a drink, but I think their food is overpriced...
Blair's has truffled mac and cheese - do I need to go on? :)

Cliff's Edge will fit what you are looking for - entrees are in the $20 range. Make sure you request a table in the outdoor patio, not inside. It's an aesthecially pleasing space. The food has had mixed reviews on the board, but I've had nothing but good experiences there. It's a younger crowd, late 20's-30's. Saturday will have a nice buzz about it.

Actually I found out we will be in Highland Park. Any suggestions for that area?
          Thank you!
