LES tomorrow near Clinton and quiet enough to talk?

  • 5

Going tomorrow to an election party in Alias Restaurant on Clinton and looking for a place after to take a friend we haven't seen in a long while.

--quiet enough to catch up on things (so Alias itself is out as there will be a boisterous party there -- either cheers or boos);

--WD-50 is too pricey for us, so we are looking for something below that. I think the ideal would be $50 per person with wine included in that amount.

  1. what about azul? it has a fabulous steak for 2 and is nearby.

      1. Azul is fantastic (Argentinian), so is 1492 (tapas and Spanish food) on Clinton bet. Stanton and RIvington. Both have great food and ambience. The parrillada for 2 at Azul is a mixed plate of grilled meats, and can't be beat. The lamb chops 4 ways at 1492 are fantastic, as are the grilled vegetables and gambas al ajillo. Full bar there, as well.

        1. falai
          salt bar
          punch and judy

          1. Salt Bar is by some margin the noisiest restaurant I have ever been to in my life. Forget talking - yelling is obligatory.
