LES tomorrow near Clinton and quiet enough to talk?

Going tomorrow to an election party in Alias Restaurant on Clinton and looking for a place after to take a friend we haven't seen in a long while.

--quiet enough to catch up on things (so Alias itself is out as there will be a boisterous party there -- either cheers or boos);

--WD-50 is too pricey for us, so we are looking for something below that. I think the ideal would be $50 per person with wine included in that amount.

Salt Bar is by some margin the noisiest restaurant I have ever been to in my life. Forget talking - yelling is obligatory.

Azul is fantastic (Argentinian), so is 1492 (tapas and Spanish food) on Clinton bet. Stanton and RIvington. Both have great food and ambience. The parrillada for 2 at Azul is a mixed plate of grilled meats, and can't be beat. The lamb chops 4 ways at 1492 are fantastic, as are the grilled vegetables and gambas al ajillo. Full bar there, as well.
