Need place for small company holiday dinner

  • 3

I own a small business and I'm looking to take about 10 adults and 1 baby out for a holiday dinner in December sometime. Anyone have a particular place they would recommend for this type of function. Looking for steak, italian, chinese, etc. We're pretty open. Anyplace in the east valley, central phoenix, chandler, central scottsdale area would be great. We're kind of in the middle as far as foodies go. Not ultra gourmet but I would prefer something more exciting than olive garden. :-) (Not that there is anything wrong with that!) We are in the food business ourselves and like to explore what's out there. I'm not looking to spend a fortune.. I'm hoping to keep it under 25-30 per person.

Thanks in advance!

  1. I can make a few suggestions, based on our dinner group outings - 8 adults - as well as some research for our company dinner, which was a much larger group than yours. Flemings will have small private rooms, and they do a nice job with this kind of thing, IMO. Brunello's will give you the entire patio, and while the food is only okay, the setting is lovely (I'm biased - I had my wedding there). Sautee' a new restaurant in Mesa, has a chef's table in the center of the room that sits right in front of the kitchen. We recently had a great meal there (I still need to do a review). Tradiciones, the mexican restaurant next to Ranch Market on 16th & Roosevelt, does wonderful parties of any size, and the food is terrific.

    1. Thanks so much! The chef's table at Sautee sounds very interesting! I'll have to check it out. We love the action in the kitchen, so that may be a perfect place for us. I've been meaning to check out Sautee, it's only 10 min from where I live, but have never had the chance. Nice to know it's recommended. Thanks again!

In fact, I will be going back again for my birthday on Wednesday - I liked it that much. Will report again after that - but our group dinner was very enthusiastic - esp. about appitizers and deserts, and I'm not a desert fan.
